This is a fascinating book that is relevant to developing *Limitless* social, communication, negotiation, and persuasion skill sets.

 

The author outlines 48 different principals of power and influence such as:

- Never outshine the master ...
- Always say less than necessary.
- Learn to keep people dependent on you.
- When asking for help, appeal to people's self-interests, never to their mercy or gratitude.
- Enter action with boldness.
- Be royal in your fashion: act like a king to be treated like one.
- Avoid stepping into a great man's shoes.
- Assume formlessness.

 

For each principal the author gives a fascinating story example from history (both recent and ancient) of a clever historical character that utilized the principal in question for gain, domination or survival.

I was first actually told about this book by my friend Hypnautic (a successful hip hop artist from Denver), I read it at the time I was working in the entertainment industry which is an especially tricky industry to deal with people.
