## [Bacopa monnieri](https://www.limitlessmindset.com/Bacopa-DW), also known as *water hyssop*, is an herb commonly used in Ayurveda.

## Recommended Dosage

When taken as a supplement for general cognition, the typical dose of a 20% Bacopa extract is 1-2 capsules for a dose of 450 – 900 mg. Bacopa should be taken with food, as taking it on an empty stomach increases chances of experiencing adverse gastrointestinal side effects and prevents its absorption.
