Michelangelo is reported to have said: “The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high, and we miss it, but that it is too low, and we reach it.”

This isn't a mindset 101 podcast, so I don't have to tell you to aim high; to ride the edge of your capacity. You already know that fortune favors the bold.
Think of your grandest goals - in your career, in business, in your creative or artistic expression, and with your family - it's my contention that whatever you endeavor to do in life, you're not honoring those goals sufficiently if you are not regularly challenging your body. For our minds rot when our bodies go unchallenged.
I interview a man who has taken THAT to the extreme and arrived at a surprising mindset takeaway - which we'll share at the end of this podcast. Jeffrey Weiss, an Ironman, triathlete, and ultramarathoner - pushing through grueling 20-hour night races - at 63 years old. And in all his free time, he's an attorney and author. He sent me his new book, Racing against Time: On Ironman, Ultramarathons, and the Quest for Transformation in Midlife.

In this minisode interview with William Mulvaney, we discuss the rather insane feat he's undertaking (with his feat) - a 100-mile ultramarathon. We talk about injury workout prevention, share unconventional willpower shortcuts, and swap stories.

Is stoicism past its due date as a mindset?

The philosophy articulated by the embattled Marcus Aurelius as his personal life and empire threatened to collapse around him in 170 BC. It's over 2000 years old, and we are now living in a world utterly inconceivable to even the most imaginative Roman aristocrat in the midst of a psychedelic Dionysian fever dream. Modernity seems architected to conflict directly with every facet of evolutionary psychology and the philosophical values that have edified men and women for millennia. While new science, thinking, and practice from the fields of Biohacking and personal growth seem to offer pragmatic solutions in a world doing its damnedest to claw away our free will with digital talons.
In a world utterly corrupted by politics, big business, big government, and devouring ideology, is stoicism as a mindset an individualistic "cope" to keep your metaphorical hands off pitchforks that should be raised?
That's the question I'll be exploring today with Will R. Young, a behavioral finance strategist, philosopher, top-performing superforecasters in the Good Judgment Project, author of a new book, "The Enough Equation," and avid surfer - he knows a thing or two about dodging shark fins.

Dopamine is often misunderstood as the “pleasure” molecule, but its primary role is motivation, reward-seeking behavior, and reinforcement learning. It drives goal-oriented behavior, productivity, focus, and even longevity. Dopamine is essential in habit formation and performance optimization—but it’s also involved in addiction and burnout.

I'm joined by my friend, Lucas Aoun of Boost Your Biology. He's on the expert consulting team for our new flagship program, Anakainōsis, and we are going to go deep on the topic of dopamine here and how to Biohack it for a vigorous life of meaning, joy, and adventure.

So you're about to invest in a 30, 60, or 90-day supply of a high-quality Nootropic, like those by Ultra Human, to maximize the ROI on that investment I suggest that you plan a simultaneous productivity sprint of equal duration.

Hopefully, you're reading this just prior to (or just after) splurging a not-insignificant chunk of change on some high-quality Nootropics. If you're going to spend your hard-earned money on Nootropics there's an important question you should be asking...

How can I make more permanent the mindset and enhanced powers of cognition that this Nootropic imbues?

Methylene Blue

Nootropic Ingredients

Methylene Blue is a seriously underrated, surprisingly effective, safe, and very affordable anti-aging agent along with being a subtle Nootropic.

In the cryptocurrency world where I spend some time, there seems to always be a trade-off between three desirable attributes; speed, security, and scalability. In Biohacking, similarly, we often have to choose between safe, effective, and affordable. But, after reading The Ultimate Guide to Methylene Blue by Mark Sloan (who I had a great deep-dive interview with) I was thoroughly convinced that Methylene Blue measures up in all three crucial dimensions, so I've added it to my daily stack.

I interview fitness guru, Nootropics impresario, and large human, Neal Thakkar of Evolvere.

We discuss the downsides to bodybuilding, fitness hacks, Modafinil vs Mindfulness, and the potent Nootropic stack he's created - QUANTUMiND. Whether or not you should bring your smartphone to the gym. Why Modafinil is a problematic anti-empathy drug. We discuss the workout supplements HMB, Yohimbine, CBD, and Creatine. Neal warns about common mistakes to avoid making in the gym, like why...

“You shouldn't do cardio in the gym BEFORE lifting weights.”

In this conversation with Russell Symes of Infinite Age, we discuss why Entrepreneurs who don't Biohack may end up dead.

We also shed light on the minefield of mediocrity that the Biohacker faces when choosing anti-aging supplements or Nootropics along with delving into some high-risk, high-reward tools, exogenous Testosterone, and Nicotine.

I had a wide-ranging discussion with Lucas Aoun: Ergogenic Biohacker, self-experimenter, prolific Instagram educator, and creator of the BrainX Nootropic Stack.
