A lot of guys' issue with social anxiety is that they lack social motivation. After a long day or week of work, they just cannot be bothered to go out.
Or perhaps, if you're like a lot of guys I talk to, you would be motivated to go out and practice your social skills if you knew you were going to be connecting with intellectual equals. If you knew you were going to go out and meet people with who you could have stimulating conversations, to who you were attracted, you would actually go to the trouble of getting out of the house. When you do go out and socialize you often find yourself bored by the quality (or virtual lack) of (coherent) conversation. It seems like you have to get so far outside of your comfort zone to meet people who seem like they are barely a few IQ points north of being retarded. Why even bother?
This is a bit of a catch-22 because to connect with the people you want to; people that turn you on in one way or another, you are going to need to develop your social skills. Right now, if we are honest, your social skills are probably not up to par to connect meaningfully with these people.

In the past 12 years, I've self-experimented with over 200 smart drugs along with a variety of brain training software apps and mindfulness techniques. During this period I've also put in well over seven thousand hours practicing a range of social dynamics skill sets. I'm not going to lie; it's been pretty damn fun.
Over this time I've received innumerable emails and communicated with a spectrum of people suffering silently from what I think is quite likely the most insidious mental illness of our time; social anxiety. Which, believe it or not, is something I too have to deal with from time to time. The Biohacking Protocol which follows presents a novel, yet holistic approach to beating social anxiety.

Introduction: I frequently receive emails and Facebook messages asking me something to the effect of: "What is the best Nootropic for increasing social confidence?"
Near the top of my list of exotic molecules to achieve that is L-Theanine. in about 30 minutes it consistently brings me a measure of tranquility to manage social situations with grace and gravitas. As the active ingredient in green tea, it's an exceptionally safe nutraceutical with virtually no downside. Finally, it's VERY cost-effective, a year's supply of it runs about $25.
Fatjong of TheanineZone.com has an entire blog, with numerous articles devoted to explaining different L-theanine uses. Check out this article he wrote for Limitless Mindset on the neurobiology of confidence.

So I smiled and dialed, halfway through the sales call the balance of my Paypal account had increased by more than $2000.
Now, this doesn't happen to me every day, in fact, my experience of the business world and capitalizing on opportunity has been very asymmetrical - feast or famine; when it rains it pours. My experience is that it's not a numbers game; good fortune is due to almost invisible meta-factors, which conspire in rare moments to create windfalls - when they do it's worthwhile to analyze why.

The Problem: A lot of us have unattractive (or just plain sloppy) body language or auditory communication habits that we aren't aware of. These habits hold us back from becoming the best versions of ourselves.
Unless you have the time, money, or inclination to take acting classes or a social dynamics boot camp it's pretty difficult to identify weaknesses that could be doing damage to your communication 'game', be it in personal or business situations.

Frame control is a topic that gets discussed Ad nauseam in hypothetical terms, in this article I'll break out of that by providing a mix of examples in pop culture, movies, and television along with personal anecdotes. Frame control is relevant to every human interaction but the most colorful examples of it come from the domains of business and seduction, I could deconstruct boundless case studies of it that are a whole lot more PG-rated, I've chosen examples that are a bit edgier so that you remember and can apply them.

Update: Since writing this my views have changed on deception; applying sociopathic tactics and Machiavellian philosophy will ultimately screw you more in the long term. Honesty often entails upfront costs and immediate discomfort but ultimately yields more happiness, tranquility, and success. Although, with reciprocity as my guiding principle, I have fewer qualms about enjoying the double pleasure of deceiving the deceivers - to paraphrase Machiavelli.
Lifehackers, happy sociopaths, and people with healthy egos understand that lying is an inevitable part of the human communication experience. According to StatisticBrain.com:
Inevitably you are going to lie in ways big and small. This article will arm you with some clever ways to lie more effectively and less destructively without breaking the 11th commandment; getting caught.

Once upon a time, I was sitting in a cafe in Medellin, Colombia sipping the smoothest coffee you can imagine and just hoping that my internet connection would be fast enough for the call I had scheduled with a prospective client. I had just finished my second reading of Pitch Anything by Oren Klaff. Via the shoddy wifi connection, I followed the simple formula I learned in the book to mix a cocktail of Serotonin and Norepinephrine - the anticipation of reward and motivating tension - in the mind of the prospect.
