Book Review: A NOT-BORING memory book

Around the Biohacking sphere of the internet, the promise of attaining a "limitless" mind and memory is really oversold and under-delivered on. No, a $39 multivitamin combining a few garden-variety Nootropic compounds will not enable you to learn a language in a week, sorry! In my +11-years of obsessive research and self-experimentation, I've identified a few tools (the best ones are free or cheap) that actually do sharpen both my long-term and working memory. Moonwalking with Einstein is about one of them, mnemonic memory training, the others I'll mention briefly in this review.

A BRIEF REVIEW OF THE WORK - By Lawton Brown

For the still relatively few in the world who have objectively examined the Grail Message “In the Light of Truth”, this unique work provides the earnest seeker of Truth with the most comprehensive explanations and insights into all the key issues pertaining to human life and to existence as a whole. Furthermore, it does so in the most logically consistent, clearest, and simplest way possible.

Book Review: A surprisingly simple solution for chronic pain.

Tapping is an application of Emotional Freedom Techniques. It's kind of wuwu, but it's free, there are no risks or downsides. And this book thoroughly documents numerous case studies of it (sometimes instantaneous) working wonders, providing badly needed relief for those suffering from treatment-resistant chronic pain.

Book Review: Why you shouldn't tell her "You're beautiful!" every day

We all know that you need to make an ongoing effort to keep the romantic flame alive in a relationship, that's why you tell your woman "You're beautiful!" on the regular, right? "Open Her" by Karen Brody explains why this quotidian romantic overture falls far short of making your lady feel seen, loved, and desired. The author is sort of like a female Roosh V (a comparison I'm sure she would just love). She tasted the rainbow of masculinity and defines seven masculine archetypes in this book - which isn't really "red-pilled", feminist, or anti-feminist. This book and its unique insights on men and women don't really fit into one of our modern culture war camps. My witty and pretty wife and I read this one together, and share takeaways in this podcast...

Book Review: The edifying economic biohack (that you may not be getting right...)

I've been fasting for years, in fact, it's a major economic lifehack, so I decided to read Dave Asprey's recent deep-dive book on the topic, Fast This Way. The book is a bit of a memoir actually, it's punctuated by vignettes from a grueling (and transformative) 4-day fast that the author did alone in a cave in the Arizona desert.

Book ReviewThe Lowest-Hanging Longevity Fruit

Modernity conspires, in ways subtle and not-so-subtle to deprive you of the sleep you desperately need. Taking back the sleep you deserve is (perhaps) the most multiplicative of factors impacting your health, strength of mind, and ultimately longevity.

In this podcast, I thrust a phallus of fascinating factoids from "Why We Sleep" by Matthew Walker and break down the pragmatic takeaways from this book which is more for sleep scientists than sleep hackers.

Book review: Skepticism of the COVID profiteers is justified

Having found Dr. Mercola's previous book, EMF*D, very eye-opening, scientifically rigorous, and full of the kind of pragmatic takeaways that a biohacker like me loves, I picked up The Truth About COVID-19. Give a listen to my podcast review of the book here...

I once wrote an article entitled, The only Biohacking device I’d buy, about the Heartmath EmWave2, and I have to update that article because I've found some "biohacking devices" that I like even more than the HRV devices, infrared red light therapy.

Check out my Biohacker reviews of the devices I'm using here as in this article I'm going to break down 69 benefits of Red Light Therapy which are thoroughly documented in a very illuminating book I read.

The most important question is of course...

Is there real science validating Red Light as medicinal therapy?

A mindset manifesto from an unqualified growth hacker and high-performing corporate executive.

This is a book on mindset, particularly the kind of mindset crucial to career advancement or entrepreneurial success.

An admission, in the past few years I've experienced great growth in a few areas, my health, my relationships (I got married), my mindfulness, my mindfulness practice, managing my vices, and my self-education (I've become a serious reader) along with my creative endeavors and writing (I finally wrote a book). But my career has grown a little stagnant; my income has increased marginally, and I've grown cynical about and demotivated by the apparent anti-meritocratic nature of the internet as a medium to reach an audience.

An entertaining and well-written novel about transformative personal development via Neuro-linguistic programming techniques.

My wife enthusiastically recommended that I read this book about a man's inspirational hero's journey from suicidal despair to personal and corporate victory. Often fiction is a better medium than non-fiction for impactfully teaching philosophy and this book will go on my shortlist of must-read fiction for personal development pragmatists along with Memoir From Antproof Case and  Atlas Shrugged.
