Book Review: "Young-Civilizationists" are the new “Young-Earth Creationists"

This is Graham Hancock’s most recent book, a follow-up to Magicians of the Gods, painstakingly evaluating the evidence that hints at a lost civilization in deep antiquity (Atlantis?)

An admission, I used to be a "young-earth creationist," which means that I was among the Christians who believe that God created the world and universe about 6,000 years ago. A commonly-held and dogma-driven view of history that we now view as absurd and anti-rational which necessitates ignoring a lot of evidence. Almost nobody (Christians included) is now a young-earth creationist - but (even the intelligentsia of) society still holds some very dogmatic views of history that require ignoring a lot of evidence. Graham Hancock has written several books thoroughly documenting and analyzing this evidence. According to the mainstream view of history, our species suddenly jumped from scratching about in the dust to building the pyramids and other megaliths of tremendous proportions and size - civilizational endeavors requiring mastery of complex mathematics and engineering principles. While our modern civilization can barely keep the lights on in a lot of places (and can't even keep the Notre Dame cathedral from burning down), we're made to believe that ancient humans jumped right from chasing down megafauna on the flatlands with spears to the decadent project of building giant monuments perfectly aligned to the astrological starscape above, in a matter of (at the most) a few thousand years, while they were mired in a barbaric and deeply superstitious societal state. Indeed, "young civilizationists" (like young-earth creationists) believe that something magical happened about six millennia ago.

Perhaps like me, you've gone down the internet rabbit hole - gone deep - and explored some pretty fringe subjects and questioned the things you're not supposed to question. Perhaps you have watched some of those banned-by-Youtube documentaries supporting the anti-vax/anti-mask movement, the flat-earth movement, and even some of those very, very naughty climate change denial documentaries. Well, I have to admit that I've watched ALL those documentaries (sometimes repeatedly) and I said to myself as a dissident thinker, none of these dissident movements go far enough - they're not hardcore enough for me!

This private community is the result of the very interesting conversations I've had with some very erudite Biohackers who responded to my free 30-minute Biohacking consultation offer.

While the Biohacking forums online (Longecity.org, Subreddits, or some Facebook groups) are surprisingly good, anyone on the internet can join them for free and post anything. You've probably been a part of enough free networking communities (both online and in the real world) to know that the quality of connections you make, the organization of events, and information is usually pretty mediocre - you get what you pay for.

If you would like to more meaningfully connect with a higher quality (dare I say a more elite) community of lifehackers and biohackers I've created a small, private community of people who have taken advantage of my Biohacking consultation offer, so these will be people I've personally spoken with at length and vetted, they are people who are actually invested in their Biohacking and kicking ass in life, not self-help junkies.

Last year, I wrote a Sci-Fi/Cyberpunk novel about Biohacking and philosophy, wherein exotic solar particles - tachyons - harvested at CERN, in Switzerland, are used to alter consciousness and dramatically enhance human cognition.

And, science fiction doesn't remain fiction for long. For the past two months, I've been on a cognitive enhancement stack, IgniCognition, unlike any I've tried before: it contains Ignitons (which is not just a cool marketing name - it's short for eNPQ quasi-particle), which are tachyonic solar particles originally discovered at CERN.

So you can think of Ignitons in the same vein as neutrinos or the Higgs-Boson particle; something almost infinitely small that is passing through you at this very moment. Ignitons are transmitted by active stars, like our own. And in fact, you may have gotten an extra dose of Ignitons in late January of 2026, just a few days before we recorded this, as the Aurora Borealis lit up the night sky as far south as central Europe. (There's another connection to the fictional events of my book!)
