Biohacker Review: NANOTROPIL NOVO® is next-level Phenylpiracetam

I got my hands on a package and have been using it on and off for a few weeks. I cycled off my daily-driver Nootropic, Nicotine, when I first went on it because wanted to more accurately gauge its effects. It's a quintessential cognitive enhancer...

  • It enhanced my technical problem-solving capacities, which helped me get through a redesign and revamp of my website.
  • It sharpened my memory and grasp of vocabulary a bit.
  • I had words on the tip of my tongue less.
  • Recently I've developed moderate Tinnitus (which probably has something to do with excessive news binging this crazy year) which caused some sleep deprivation. 200 milligrams helped some with sleep deprivation, but addressing the Tinnitus with meditation made a bigger difference.

Biohacker Review: I IGNITE my afternoons with this stack...

My first time trying Ignition, I woke up too early and, underslept, became sluggish around noon - hits of Nicotine weren't enough to keep me in the focus zone - so I dropped two Ignition capsules. This pepped me right up and I had a productive day doing web development stuff and blasting through emails, which is just what I'd expect from a caffeinated Nootropic stack.

Stacking Ignition and its "big brother" Max Focus helped me cycle off Nicotine - I don't smoke or vape but I intermittently use Nicotine in VG/PG USP solution as a creativity-promoting smart drug. The first few days off Nicotine are usually a bit rough on me, I need some stimulation and mood support which the Nootropics delivered.

I stay NeuroActive with 3 capsules of Max Focus in the morning and 3 of Ignition in the mid-afternoon. The stimulating and cognitive enhancement effects are potent and there's a notable uptick in my verbal abilities, I recorded this 120-minute, deep-dive, book review podcast on the stack. I take the Max Focus in the mornings and the Ignition in the early afternoons because I prefer to get my AM caffeination from my beautiful cup of steaming, Bulletproof-style, MCT-infused coffee. After lunch, I like to get a stimulant in my system to power through the rest of the day, when I'm cycled off Nicotine a caffeine-rich stack like Ignition is just what I need.

Let's look at a few of the stack's ingredients and discuss their synergies...

  • Caffeine - Three capsules pack a punch with 100 milligrams of Caffeine - that's equivalent to a strong cup of coffee - enough to get you up and running in the morning or power you through the post-lunch doldrums. So if you are stimulant-sensitive take just one or two capsules.
  • Rhodiola - The king of adaptogens - an efficacious dose (200 milligrams) of the high-performance biohacker's herb for wakefulness, alertness, and stress resilience.
  • L-Theanine - Provides the tranquility while Caffeine the stimulation, delivering a sublime state of relaxed arousal. It takes the edge off the caffeine buzz and is a favorite of writers as a subtle creativity smart drug.
  • Panax Ginseng - Another subtle soothing Nootropic that balances out the energizing Nootropics without reducing motivation, an adaptogenic medicinal herb of mythological potency for increasing stamina and a profound sense of well-being.

All the stack's ingredients are validated by a certificate of analysis, which I double-checked myself.

Book Review: Delusions of grandeur and grandiloquence

My wife and I review Mark Helprin's epic American classic, Memoir from Antproof Case, which I've read three times now.

I name it in my +2-hour podcast, Introducing Myself, as a literary influence (both positive and negative) on my values and trajectory in life.

A rigorous exposition of the misunderstood history of genetic evolution and an unnerving prophecy about how transhuman hubris will enslave our descendants to phenotypic machines of our own invention.

For some time, I've enjoyed the live streams of this French Canadian geneticist, philosopher, and live-streamer extraordinaire J.F Gariépy. My very loving and thoughtful wife got me this book for Valentine's Day.

Biohacker Review: Tranquilizing and Super-Antioxidizing!

I received my package of C60/hemp oil extract. This was the first time I had tried a CBD product. It comes in a laboratory-grade, tinted glass bottle. I took about a half tablespoon of the stuff, it tastes not bad like the other C60 olive oil solution I tried.

I noticed a subtle, anxiolytic effect within just a few minutes of dosing. I did it in the evening and read for about an hour, feeling very relaxed but I actually did not sleep well that night. This is probably because I listened to a very disturbing podcast while I was laying in bed (probably not the best habit) that kept me up for about an hour and then my thoughts were racing.

This fantasy novel has a great premise and Neil Gaiman characterizes well the "warp and weft" of my country but ultimately falls far short of its potential in critiquing the overthrow of America's "old Gods" by newer ones.

Biohacker Review: Take-10 to learn meditation

Mindfulness has been a part of my life for the last three years in the form of Dual N-Back brain training and HRV training practice with Heartmath's devices. I kept hearing that the best tool for learning meditation was Headspace; this is a guided meditation practice, so there's this guy, with a very soothing English accent who talks you through the meditation process. If that sounds a little weird, well it is, but only for about the first three minutes of your first mediation session. After that, it's very mesmerizing.

Biohacker Review: Memantine Makes Caffeine Great Again!

I did one little blue tablet in the morning along with a capsule of Uridine, 10 milligrams of Noopept, and my adaptogenic herbs. Then I went to my favorite cafe to hang out and work on my laptop; I usually drink two large cafe Americanos, about 45 minutes later halfway through my first coffee memantine's effects were becoming quite noticeable;

  • I was quite energetic and motivated.
  • I was pretty creative and in a good mood.
  • I ordered a second coffee but only drank half of it as I felt pretty wired.
  • After working several hours I took a little break to read a book. I found the book very engrossing and intellectually stimulating - I had trouble putting it down!
  • I noticed that day that my vision was just a little impaired, which is not good because my eyes are pretty bad, to begin with.
  • By the end of the day, though I had mixed feelings about Memantine, I felt quite frazzled and socially awkward. My motor control seemed a little off as well, and my typing was a little inaccurate, although I was motivated to work pretty late into the night.

In the future, I'll isolate Memantine and caffeine or Memantine and Racetams.

Biohacker Review: Good for verbal intelligence but...

I've been taking using Mind Lab Pro for a few weeks now. I've transitioned off Racetams for a few months, just for experimentation purposes, and have been using Adaptogens daily which doesn't imbue as much energy which Mind Lab Pro makes up for.

It's quite good for verbal intelligence, I've used it a couple of times before I did my Biohacking consultations. I try to batch process my Biohacking consultations, I will do four or five 30-minute calls in an afternoon, and it's important that...

  • I can answer the (sometimes quite complicated) Biohacking questions my clients have for me (that a lot of times they couldn't find the answer to with a Google search).
  • I am a good empathetic listener.
  • I am energetic and positive.

“HPV can’t be cured”

Your doctor, Google, the CDC, the NHS, and Planned Parenthood will tell you "there's no cure for HPV" - you're screwed for life, you dirty slut, you! But, good news, some high-quality evidence from recent scientific trials suggests that putting an embarrassing case of HPV or even a (potentially life-threatening) case of cervical cancer behind you might not take invasive surgery, antiviral drugs, or lifelong medical treatment from the pharmaceutical-hospital industrial complex.
